| Still mostly in juvenile plumage, with some dark greyish-brown 2nd generation mantle and scapulars; the 1st generation scapulars have a little bit of a holly-leaf pattern. One of at least 15 Lesser Black-backs at the landfill that day (March 19), easily a high count for me so far at that site. Normal numbers are around half a dozen. | |
